Theologically Rooted Vision

Theologically Rooted Vision

Inclusive, creative, aspirational experiencing life in all its fulless (John 10.10)

Ethos

 St Oswald’s is a Church of England Primary School. As such, we recognise the spiritual dimension to life and we try to meet these needs in our children, in just the same way that we seek to meet their intellectual and physical needs. We are inclusive to those of different spiritual traditions and they are welcome and respected for the insights that they bring.

St Oswald’s is a school where we;

 - Develop the best possible relationships between all individuals in the school community.

 - Provide a happy, safe and highly stimulating environment where children can learn effectively

.- Offer high quality learning opportunities that are challenging, relevant and meaningful to the children

Achievement of our vision is underpinned by our Christian values of hope, peace, forgiveness, love, friendship and trust, along with the British values of liberty, freedom, community, tolerance, respect and the rule of law.

Our chosen Scripture and Biblical Story in which our vision and values are rooted:

Preparing our pupils for fullness of life, to reach their potential physically, mentally and emotionally, enriched by their spiritual lives inspired by the values of Jesus Christ. - John 10:10

Our Christian values are exemplified within the parable of the Good Samaritan. The characters in this parable embody our  school values, inspire our students to embrace our learning community and explore education for life in all of its fullness.
