Remote Education
Welcome to St. Oswald's Remote Education Zone.
Please speak to your child's class teacher weekly activities to complete at home if they are unable to attend school. These are just a suggestion, do not worry if you cannot complete everything. These are strange times and enjoying time with your family, doing other activities at home and spending time outside is also very important!
Virtual Learning Environment
All children at St Oswald's have an email address that is hosted by the school. Using their email address, children can access our Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) Google Classroom. Through Google Classroom, teachers can post work for children to complete whilst self isolating, assign homework tasks, and provide links for children to access during classtime on their Chromebooks. If you are unsure of your child's email address or your child does not have a school email address, please contact the school office.
A link to Google Classroom is below.
Child Friendly Coronavirus Books
Below are two free eBooks explaining Covid-19 and social distancing in a child friendly manner. So many children are feeling worried and anxious right now, this could help alleviate some of their fears. It has received some wonderful feedback so we thought it would be useful to get it to as many children as possible.
