Keeping Children Safe in Education
All schools in England follow the Keeping Children Safe in Education guidance, which is updated annually to reflect best practices in safeguarding. In addition, our approach aligns with the Working Together to Safeguard Children framework, ensuring coordinated multi-agency efforts to promote children’s welfare.
Ofsted and SIAMS Recognitions
In our most recent Ofsted inspection (June 2022), inspectors stated "Leaders have provided appropriate safeguarding training for staff. Staff understand their safeguarding responsibilities and can identify signs of abuse and neglect. Leaders have established a culture of safeguarding where staff follow up on any concerns raised quickly to ensure that leaders have taken swift action. Staff are confident that leaders will act quickly on any concerns. Leaders work with different agencies to secure help for vulnerable pupils and families when this is required. Pupils are taught how to keep themselves safe, including when they are online. For example, they learn how to be safe on and near roads and they campaigned for a road crossing in their village.
Safeguarding Policies and Training
Our team follows robust safeguarding policies and procedures (documents attached below) to maintain high standards in child protection. All staff have completed Safeguarding and Child Protection Level 1 training, which equips them to identify and respond effectively to potential risks. Our staff also receive certified Prevent Duty training to recognise and prevent risks related to extremism.
